Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
The International Journal of Arts, Sciences and Education (IJASE) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and ensuring integrity in scholarly publishing. The journal follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.
- Responsibilities of Editors
- Ensure fair, unbiased, and timely review of submitted manuscripts.
- Maintain confidentiality of submissions and reviewer identities (double-blind peer review).
- Prevent conflicts of interest and disclose any potential conflicts when necessary.
- Take appropriate action in case of suspected ethical misconduct, including plagiarism or data fabrication. - Responsibilities of Reviewers
- Conduct objective and constructive peer reviews.
- Maintain confidentiality of the manuscripts and not use unpublished data.
- Disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
- Provide timely and well-justified feedback. - Responsibilities of Authors
- Submit original work that is not plagiarized or under consideration elsewhere.
- Accurately present data, methodology, and results.
- Disclose all sources of funding and any potential conflicts of interest.
- Promptly notify the editor in case of discovered errors in submitted or published articles.
- Obtain necessary ethical approvals for studies involving human or animal subjects. - Plagiarism and Misconduct
IJASE strictly prohibits:
- Plagiarism (verbatim or paraphrased without citation)
- Data fabrication or falsification
- Duplicate or redundant publication
All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection tools. Confirmed cases of misconduct may result in rejection, retraction, or reporting to institutional authorities. - Correction and Retraction Policy
- Errata are published to correct significant errors that do not alter the overall findings.
- Retractions are issued for articles with serious ethical violations or data fabrication.
- Expressions of Concern may be posted when an article is under investigation. - Appeals and Complaints
Authors may appeal editorial decisions by providing a detailed explanation. Complaints regarding ethical breaches will be handled in line with COPE recommendations. Appeals and complaints may be submitted via email at contact@ijase.org
